I am:

  • A computational scientist working in artificial intelligence
  • A climber
  • A writer
  • A “post-professional” and currently “funemployed”
  • Traveling and climbing full-time
  • Perpetually in need of a shave

In June 2008, I left an excellent position in defense research to start an on-going adventure. I packed a haul bag and went to Asia for seventeen months, climbing.

  • India – 3 months
  • Pakistan – 1 month
  • China – 2 months
  • Vietnam – 2 months
  • Cambodia
  • Thailand – 2 months
  • Laos – 1 month
  • Back to China, including Tibet – 5 months
  • Nepal – 1 month

This blog is a chronicle of my adventure, of its aftermath, and its lasting effects on my life.
